Directions

From Spokane, take I-90 westbound to Exit 280A for the Maple Street Bridge. At the end of the ramp, continue straight for one block on West Fourth Avenue; then turn right (north) onto North Walnut Street. In 0.2 mile (two blocks), bear slightly left to continue north on Walnut Street, which soon becomes North Maple Street; then, in about 0.4 mile, cross the Spokane River on the Maple Street Bridge. Continue north on Maple Street for about 1.4 miles; then turn left (northwest) onto Northwest Boulevard. In 0.7 mile, turn right (north) onto North Cochran Street. In 0.3 mile, Cochran curves left and becomes North Driscoll Boulevard. In 2.2 miles, turn left across North Assembly Street; then bear left (west) again onto WA 291/West Francis Avenue/West Nine Mile Road. In 2.1 miles, turn left (northwest) onto North Seven Mile Road; then, in 0.6 mile, cross the Spokane River and continue west onto West Seven Mile Road. In 1.5 miles, turn right (north) onto North State Park Drive, and follow it about 0.4 mile to the parking area for the Deep Creek Canyon Trailhead.
